Daily Needs for Evacuation Center of Semeru Eruption
ACE employees collectively donated basic daily needs for Semeru eruption victims and volunteered on trauma healing programs for kids at the evacuation shelters.
ACE Hardware Indonesia and other business units under Kawan Lama Group donated basic daily needs for residents living near Mount Semeru and were affected by the eruption that happened on 4 December 2021.
The donation was distributed through Kawan Lama Foundation on 28-29 December 2021 at Gelora Wira Bhakti Post - Lumajang and was received by Yudha Prasetyawan as the representative of Lumajang’s provincial disaster mitigation agency (BPBD).
The total donation reaches 211 large boxes and consists of basic daily needs such as blankets, adult’s clothing, kids’ clothing, undergarments, sanitary pads, baby diapers, baby formula milk, textbooks and stationery, children’s books, and toys.
All the items were collected from employees of ACE, Informa, Toys Kingdom and distribution centers in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, West Java, Central Java and East Java.
Besides donating daily needs, ACE employees also volunteered on trauma healing programs for kids affected by the Semeru eruption. The volunteers play together and entertain more than 200 kids aged 2-12 years old who were staying at SMPN 1 Candipuro and Condro Village evacuation shelters.
Last month, ACE in collaboration with IRIS Ohyama donated 25.000 masks for the Semeru eruption victims. All donations were distributed to Sumber Wuluh Post - East Java provincial disaster mitigation agency (BPBD) on 9 December 2021.
