Water is one of the most essential basic life needs. Unfortunately, it is not an easy case for people at the rural village Wekeke and Kareka Nduku in East Nusa Tenggara province. They have to walk 4 kilometers every day just to get clean water.

PT ACE Hardware Indonesia Tbk. urged to help all the 1.105 villagers of Wekeke and 936 villagers of Kareka Nduku getting easy access to clean water every day.

In August 2022, ACE collaborating with Solar Chapter made a visit to both villages to build clean water installations. The project at Wekeke Village, Malaka regency was done on August 7-11, 2022 while the project at Kareka Nduku Village, Tana Righu district was done on August 12-16, 2022.

The project to bring clean water includes solar panel installation, water pump installation and water pipe connection. Through the installation, clean water from the water source is able to reach the heart of the village and fulfill the villagers’ daily need of 48.000 liter clean water.

This is not the first clean water project for ACE. In 2021, ACE collaborated with Solar Chapter to build clean water access for Biau and Fatoin Village in East Nusa Tenggara province. Until now, ACE has helped four rural villages through the clean water project for East Nusa Tenggara.
